A big moment in my life came when I fell in love with art and gave my heart and soul to it without hesitation. Drawing, sculpture, and printing have always brought me joy. Over the years, I have often wondered about the meaning behind what I think and create. After 30 years as an artist, I still ask myself why I do this and what I am aiming for. The truth is, I do it because I love it. Just being able to keep creating is enough to make me happy, and I have poured nearly all my time and energy into this passion.
I have come to realize that imagination matters more than just thinking things through because creativity always comes first. And when it comes to creating art, I care more about the emotions, the beauty, and the honesty behind the work than about any particular concept. Deep down, I believe that what truly lasts in art—the part that speaks to people—is the emotion and feeling, not the ideas. The form of the artwork is just a way to convey this imagined image, which exists beyond time, language, and rules.
I think this is what I have been searching for in art all along. It is like how I felt when I first fell in love with art over 40 years ago, and that feeling has stuck with me ever since. No matter how my work changes, those feelings will remain sincere.
