นิทรรศการนี้รวบรวมผลงานสำคัญจากปีที่ผ่านมา พร้อมด้วยภาพวาดและประติมากรรมที่ชัชวาล รอดคลองตัน สร้างสรรค์ขึ้นระหว่างปี 2018 ถึง 2024 ซึ่งได้รับอิทธิพลลึกซึ้งจากปรัชญาพุทธศาสนาและความเชื่อในเทพเจ้า

นอกจากนี้ นิทรรศการนี้ยังสานต่อแนวคิดจากนิทรรศการ “Nonentity” ในปี 2018 ของชัชวาล เพื่อย้ำถึงความเชื่อมั่นในคำสอนของพระพุทธศาสนาอย่างลึกซึ้ง โดยชัชวาลใช้ศิลปะเป็นสื่อสะท้อนความไม่เที่ยงของชีวิต พร้อมส่งเสริมความสุข ความเบิกบาน และสติในใจของผู้ชม ตามแต่ละความเข้าใจของแต่ละคน

แม้ผลงานของชัชวาลจะมีรากฐานจากหลักคำสอนพุทธศาสนา แต่ยังคงความเป็นอิสระทางปัญญา จินตนาการของเขาคือแรงขับเคลื่อนในการจัดวางองค์ประกอบ การเลือกสี และการออกแบบในชุดผลงานอันโดดเด่น เช่น นารีพล กินนรี เทพเจ้า แสงและเงา รวมถึงเงา ที่ผสมผสานศิลปะไทยแบบดั้งเดิมเข้ากับสไตล์ร่วมสมัยได้อย่างลงตัว

นอกเหนือจากนิทรรศการ “Nonentity 2nd” ชัชวาล รอดคลองตัน ยังได้รวบรวมผลงานไว้ในหนังสือศิลปะ “30 ปี บนเส้นทางศิลปะ 50 ปี ชัชวาล รอดคลองตัน” เพื่อเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่นักศึกษาและประชาชนทั่วไปด้วยเช่นกัน

Ekachai Luadsoongnern was born and raised in the countryside. His love and connection with nature served as essential crucibles for him to continue creating Impressionist art for over thirty years. The artist appreciates nature’s ordinariness and simplicity. He observes and lives in harmony with nature. His brushworks, which depict emotions, moods, and beauty, may not always prioritize detail or reality. On the other hand, the brushstroke traces convey the strength of impressive emotions. Luadsoongnern’s work features a variety of brushstrokes. In several of his works, the brushstrokes are rapid, emphasizing the expression of light, color, and atmosphere in nature. Some pieces are painted with layers of color to produce the weight, distance, and form that occur naturally. Some works simplify features, apply rough brushworks, and emphasize internal emotions. Some of the works are the result of painting outside the studio to serve as sketches before bringing them inside to finish painting, blending realistic painting with the incorporation of emotion for nature. All of his brushstrokes depict his interactions with nature. Thus, the brushstrokes leave many traces of emotions and feelings in his mind. The exhibition “Traces of Emotions” is like a record of his conversation with nature. It depicts the relationship between his sentiments toward the beauty of nature, landscape, atmosphere, and time based on his never-ending journeys both locally and internationally.

Ekachai Luadsoongnern’s solo exhibition includes four series of paintings. The first one showcases his artistic creations that reflect deep emotions inspired by the Impressionist. The artist made these works in two locations: Luad Impressionist Garden in Chiang Rai Province and Monet’s Garden in Giverny. Luad Impressionist Garden was inspired by Monet’s Garden, which had brilliant flower beds, peaceful water lily ponds, and a visually appealing Japanese wooden bridge. These components have inspired countless masterpieces. Second, landscape paintings he created as a personal record of his journeys throughout Thailand and other nations. The Mekong River comes third, followed by the Frangipani, a prominent symbol in Luadsoongnern’s work.
