Join us in experiencing art that transcends the boundaries of understanding. Sometimes, the most beautiful things need no words to be explained.
“JUST LET ME BE” an art exhibition that will warm your heart.

For the first time in Thailand, artworks created by 50 artists with Down syndrome are gathered together, expressed through pure hearts, unique perspectives, emotions, and individuality.

Each piece serves as an inner dialogue, a reflection of self that seeks no interpretation ,only asking you to open your heart and let the art speak for itself.

This is not just an exhibition, but a heartfelt expression from 50 artists with Down syndrome, who spent meaningful time together at 21/3 Art Studio before presenting their works in “JUST LET ME BE.”

The Bootleg Show emerged from the inherent distortions that occur during the manufacturing of art toys, where the artist observed a notable gap between factory-produced versions and his original designs. This observation raised an important question: where does true originality reside?

MRKREME (Varagun Chongthanapipat), a Thai-Hong Kong artist born in 1993, combines his background in industrial design with a unique creative vision. His artistic journey began with art toys, later expanding into painting to push the limits of his imagination. Central to his work is Mushkin, a furry monster whose development was shaped by unintended distortions encountered during the manufacturing process. In mass production, limitations in the factory—whether from human error, design flaws, or material constraints—inevitably lead to variances and imperfections. These distortions became a key theme of The Bootleg Show, prompting MRKREME to reimagine Mushkin and its monstrous kin through various forms, questioning what constitutes originality and how viewers interpret these creative shifts.

The official version of The Bootleg challenges conventional notions of originality. MRKREME invited collaborators to reinterpret Mushkin through their memories, resulting in unexpected designs that he brought to life. In this series, MRKREME employs plasticine clay as the primary medium. The distinctive qualities of plasticine—its vibrant colors and malleability—allow for boundless creative possibilities. However, plasticine also represents a symbol of temporality. Its soft, moldable nature means that it is constantly changing, susceptible to the slightest touch or pressure. This ever-shifting material mirrors the fleeting and impermanent nature of creativity itself. What is shaped one moment can easily transform into something entirely different the next, making plasticine the perfect medium for exploring the fluidity of artistic expression.

Plasticine was first used by MRKREME to create prototypes for his art toys, and now he returns to it as a means of intentional distortion. This manipulation of form, enabled by the pliability of plasticine, is reflected across MRKREME’s multidisciplinary works, including paintings, sculptures, and video installations. These works often incorporate elements of parody and appropriation, further blurring the boundaries between original creation and transformation.

The Bootleg Show presents the factory not only as an industrial process but as a space for creative deformation. The mass production of Mushkin and its variations across mediums and sizes embodies how factory limitations can lead to unexpected artistic possibilities. The imperfections inherent in mass production are not seen as flaws, but rather as opportunities for innovation and reinterpretation.

The exhibition celebrates bootlegging as a dynamic creative force, turning distortion and reinterpretation into powerful tools for artistic growth. MRKREME embraces both accidental and intentional bootlegging, dissolving the distinction between originality and reinvention. Audiences are invited to rethink the meaning of originality and imperfection, engaging with The Bootleg Show through their own unique interpretations and imaginative respons

Around 500 million years ago, the heart began its essential role of transporting oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, enabling the evolution of other organs dependent on its function. When the heart ceases, all bodily processes stop. Nursing marks a significant evolutionary advancement, blending nurture, adaptation, and problem-solving. Despite challenges, our ancestors safeguarded this vital trait, known as “white blood from the heart,” demonstrating its crucial role in preserving life and genealogy.

Widsanupong Noonan explores evolution by using the heart as a central motif, reflecting development, adaptability, and biological processes. His work captures the interplay of life, sacrifice, and evolution, emphasizing learning and adaptation over force. The 1:4 scale emphasizes how interdependent and delicate life is in the display. All living things display distinct adaptations and achievements; humans are not special. Each work emphasizes the commonalities between cultural and biological understandings of mammals. Through the medium of art, Noonan is able to shed light on hidden relationships, re-creating moments that call for interdisciplinary comprehension.

“Imitating nature” and “learning through questioning” are the core themes of this exhibition. Nature has spent billions of years refining its systems through experimentation and adaptation. The exhibition challenges visitors to rethink their relationship with the natural world, urging them to become thoughtful questions in an era where answers are easily found, yet meaningful questions remain elusive. After all, every significant innovation begins with a single question—just as the origin of “life” eventually led to the evolution of “mammals.”

This exhibition serves as a reflection on the delicate relationship between humanity and the environment. Motivated by his fascination with the complexities of human behavior, Thaiwijit uses this body of work to explore how our actions—whether driven by creativity or consumption—affect the world we live in. Through portraits and conceptual pieces, he examines the consequences of unchecked desires and how they contribute to the broader challenges faced by our planet.

The saying “A hundred fathers, a thousand mothers” is a common Thai expression that refers to the gathering of people from many different places, each with unique backgrounds, thoughts, habits, and mindsets. Thaiwijit’s set of imaginative portraits portrays individuals who play important roles in shaping our world. These portraits reflect the great abilities of the human mind, which has the potential to both create and destroy the environment we inhabit.

As humanity evolves, we have developed in ways that go beyond our basic needs. However, when human greed becomes untamed, it leads to the inevitable self-destruction of both ourselves and the planet. Thaiwijit’s work captures this tension, reminding us of the delicate balance between creation and destruction, and inviting us to reflect on our impact on the world around us.

Duality: Through the Eyes of Anand and Ornsiri Panin presents a compelling contrast between the artistic visions of Anand and Ornsiri Panin. Anand Panin’s works transcend simple observation and memory, channeling boundless emotions, thoughts, and imaginations. His art, liberated from reason and fueled by profound human wisdom, explores the depths of our inner lives. In contrast, Ornsiri Panin’s works serve as a documentation of what is seen, capturing moments much like recording memories at a specific point in time. When time appears to stand still in his art, everything seems to pause. Yet, beneath this stillness, there is a continuous unfolding of life happening behind the scenes, inviting viewers to use their imagination to perceive the movement and stories that lie beyond the surface.

Anand Panin’s work is marked by its unique creative expression, using oil painting to narrate themes of “movement” and buoyancy. His technique leverages the transparency of oil colors to reveal layers that gradually shape various forms. The dynamic interplay of movement, color relationships, light and shadow, and the blending of hues, along with the lightness of the imagery, all reflect dimensions of time through the perception of movement and overlapping shapes. In contrast, Ornsiri Panin’s work captures images from diverse locations, times, and situations, each rich with intricate details. His concept of “stillness” refers to a physical pause that opens up limitless observation and perception. This stillness transforms the figurative into an abstract understanding, moving beyond literal depiction to a nuanced comprehension without boundaries.

Misfit traces the journey of Ploenchan Vinyaratn, widely known as Mook, a textile artist first recognized in Thai society for her innovative commercial woven designs. Despite early acclaim, she often felt like an outsider—navigating the blurred lines between artist and designer under cultural and societal expectations. From a Catholic primary school to boarding school in England, university at Central Saint Martins, time spent with hill tribes in Northern Thailand, and into the contemporary art world, her path has been one of ongoing self-searching, occasionally met with exclusion.

The works in Misfit are more than art objects—they are narrative threads from Mook’s personal and artistic evolution. Her signature use of upcycled materials, intricate patterns, and experimental techniques reflect a defiance of aesthetic norms and a refusal to conform. Each piece marks a chapter in a creative journey shaped by both rejection and resilience.

Misfit is a cathartic celebration of individuality—a bold statement of the artist’s desire to make an impact.
“Hush-A-Bye. Childhood is but a dream” is an exhibition that reimagines childhood—not as a sanctuary of innocence, but as a delicate dream threaded with unseen wounds. […]

“Hush-A-Bye. Childhood is but a dream” is an exhibition that reimagines childhood—not as a sanctuary of innocence, but as a delicate dream threaded with unseen wounds. Composed in five acts, Oscar Villegas-Paez’s body of work gently dismantles the romantic myth of childhood, revealing it as something far more fragile, more complex. What emerges is not a nostalgic ode, but a quiet elegy to the unspoken pain we carry from our earliest years.

Rather than seeking outward, the artist listens inward. He attunes himself to the echoes of children’s voices—not only in Bangkok, where this work took form, but in New York, Paris, Athens, and Dublin. The locations shift, but the pulse remains. There is a universal rhythm to suffering. It begins in the womb with the heartbeat of the mother—our first sonic memory—and continues in the cries of the child, asking not only for comfort, but for justice, connection, and recognition.

Each act of Hush-a-Bye unfolds like a scene in a tragedy. And yet, within this grief lies beauty. Within each photograph, tenderness. The stillness speaks louder than words. The silence is not empty—it is full of feeling.

Throughout the exhibition, the artist returns to the body—the body of the child, the mother, the earth itself. He draws delicate but poignant connections between them: the heartbeat of the mother and the planetary pulse; the newborn’s cry and the quiet disappearance of a wounded world. In this cosmology, pain is collective. Injustice echoes. Sound carries.

What makes Hush-a-Bye deeply moving is not its portrayal of trauma, but the dignity with which it holds space for it. The work does not sensationalize. It does not offer easy consolation. It invites us simply to bear witness—to remain present, to listen.

In the end, Hush-a-Bye is a lullaby not meant to lull us to sleep, but to awaken us. A song for the unheard. A prayer for those still carrying childhood pain beneath adult skin. A reminder that behind every silence, a heartbeat waits to be heard. And perhaps that is enough. To listen—and to respond.
