Since 2013, Chuang Moolpinit has been calling his solo exhibition the Twilight Zone. This time,
the exhibition is “The Twilight Zone 4”, therefore his Twilight Zone has a different connotation
than the realm the twilight that most people associate with. Moolpinit’s Twilight Zone comes
from his meditation on the truth shown by his aging physique. It appears that the sun is about
to set. It’s almost time to leave. The sky will gradually darken, although not yet fully. The
twilight zone reflects the fact that the sun must set. Humans are born and must die. The work’s
content, in addition to exhibiting the aesthetic splendour of the artist’s work and the ability to
create whatever his heart desires. It alludes to a time of artistic creation in his later years.

Pharuephon Mukdasanit, originally a graphic designer, had a successful career working with renowned advertising agencies in Thailand. He was also one of the founding members of B.O.R.E.D. (Brand Of Radical Experimental Design), a group of innovative visual graphic designers formed in 2002. The group quickly gained recognition as some of the best in the country. However, after nearly a decade, each member of the group began to explore their own unique style and creative path.

In 2011, Mukdasanit transitioned into the role of a freelance artist and joined a collective of street artists called “FOR.” Many of the artists within this group have since become well-known household names in the art world. During this time, Mukdasanit adopted the name ‘MAMAFAKA’, becoming known by this moniker in the art community.

One of Mamafaka’s most iconic characters is the ‘one-eyed hairy monster’ known as ” Mr.HellYeah!” This character became a sensation and a huge success within Thailand’s street art scene, propelling Mamafaka into both national and international recognition. Mamafaka played a significant role in popularizing street art in Thailand with his unique and polished style.

His artwork has consistently been featured in numerous magazines and blogs, including Computer Arts, Wallpaper, and Hypebeast, among others. Mamafaka’s talent has also caught the attention of global brands such as Rip Curl, Converse, Adidas, Vespa, Honda, and Smirnoff, to name just a few. His collaborations with these brands have further solidified his reputation as a prominent figure in the art world.

On Monday, September 9th, 2013, Mamafaka tragically passed away in a drowning accident. In honor of his memory, artists from various creative fields, including music, fashion, and design, came together to create dedicated pieces of artwork for his funeral. Within just five days, over 400 artworks were submitted to be exhibited as fan art at the funeral.

“Mamafaka Reimagined” serves as a tribute to the late artist and trailblazer. It features works from Mamafaka’s private collectors and friends, as well as pieces inspired by his iconic character, Mr. Hellyeah, created by twelve talented artists. Many of these artists were close friends of Mamafaka, and this event provided them with a meaningful way to remember him and carry on his legacy.

Arianna Caroli is well-known for her floral paintings. Her passion for flowers stemmed from her experiences while painting flowers. “When you are in front of a painting of flowers you just breathe and… relax. There is nothing to interpret, to guess. You unconsciously let your heart open and then something happens inside you.” said Caroli. Viewers are exposed to the strong healing and energy of the colors in her painting and may even become lost in a web of stems pitils and petals. She considers her paintings to be MANDALAS, meditation artwork that can transport viewers to a state of peace and contentment.

Arianna Caroli’s paintings are also inspired by the intriguing magical idea of “Juxtaposition” and the concept of “The Perfect Imperfect”; some of her paintings appear incomplete but are completely perfect in their imperfection. “VITA LONGA EST” is a recreation of the artist’s Bangkok living space, complete with her own furniture and works-in-progress. In the conviction that by working together, we can create an exciting Space inside the Space, the artist welcomes guests to her studio to discuss her work or even collaborate on creating art.

The exhibition showcases her flowers paintings, her table installation, the Walking art project, and the Art-Out-Of-Art Project that she worked with PASAYA. Arianna Caroli and Kit Bencharongkul, will be inside the exhibition talking about this exhibition at the opening reception.
